Stroke Development
Group Description:
Stroke Development prepares swimmers for competition. Swimmers will learn the structure of a swim practice and acquire additional competitive swimming skills including starts and turns. Swimmers can complete 25 yards of each stroke. Athletes enter and exit the water independently (no ladders).
Group Objectives:
- Use the clock as part of a structured practice
- Kick driven swimming
- Perform all 4 strokes legally for 50 yards
- Legal underwater breaststroke pullout
- Complete a 100 IM in a meet
- USA Swimming certified Safe Start (front and back starts)
- Achieve PNS Gold Times in all four strokes
