Winter Jr Championship Recap

 

SMAC co-hosted Winter Jr Championships at KCAC last Tuesday-Saturday. We started off the meet with long course time trials where Tyler Lu got his 2nd olympic trial cut in the 200 im! SMAC had 10 qualifiers and 4 relay-only athletes compete in the meet where we finished 18th in the combined team scores. We jumped up 15 places from 2018. SMAC men were 12th and SMAC women were 39th. In 2018, our combined score was 38 points and this year we scored 107 points. The improvement is a testament to the athletes focus and hard work this past year. It was great to see the progress we made and how well we represented the team and the area while this meet was held locally. Thank you to all the volunteers and thank you to everyone that came out to support the team!
